
Dr. Mohammad Almuhana is the Chief Academic Officer at SSU. He believes strongly in the power of education to transform lives and is committed to leadership that prioritizes student success, supports academic excellence, and promotes continuous growth in higher education.
He holds a doctorate in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics and is a Licensed CPA with the California Board of Accountancy. With a background in accounting, finance, insurance, and data analytics, Dr. Almuhana has taught and mentored students across a variety of disciplines and institutions.
His recent research explores critical economic and regulatory issues in California, including the impact of wildfire-related financial risks on the home insurance market. The work gained recognition when CAL FIRE’s Research and Data Division requested the full report for its relevance to 2024-2025 policy planning.
As both an alumnus and former faculty member, Dr. Almuhana is deeply committed to building supportive academic communities and takes great pride in helping students succeed both academically and professionally.
