Melissa Carlito, MA

My name is Melissa Carlito, and I am a humanities professor at Southern States University. I received my BA and MA in Film Studies and History from Chapman University. My personal belief is that film, television and music are not “throw away media” but a political, historical, and social time capsule that can teach future generations about the past and the future. I am excited to share the importance of how storytelling can factor not only in the arts, but also into the business world that SSU specializes in – teaching it’s students in building brand awareness, audience engagement, and creative communication.
