Increase of International Students in the USA
As reported in a recent report, “The Open Doors 2022 Report on International Educational Exchange”, the total number of international students enrolled at U.S. colleges and universities has gone up in the past academic year, 2021-2022. This report is published by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the Institute of International Education (IIE).
This is a strong increase compared to years during and following the COVID-19 pandemic. This report also highlights that the countries with the most students studying in the USA during the 2021-2022 cycle are: China (31%), India (21%), South Korea (4%), Canada (3%), Vietnam (2%), Taiwan (2%), Saudi Arabia (2%), Brazil (2%), Mexico (2%), and Nigeria (2%).
