STUDENT VOLUNTEER GROUPS
STUDENT VOLUNTEER GROUPS
June 2017
Dear Students:
Beginning in the summer 2017 quarter, we are offering three new student volunteer groups:
• Tutoring Group:
o This group will allow you to help your fellow classmates in the subject areas that you know very well. We are looking for 1-5 volunteers that can be tutors to our MBA or BBA students for the summer quarter. Upon successfully completing the quarter, the tutor will receive a “Certificate of Recognition”. Hours volunteering will depend on the availability of the volunteer.
• Classroom Assistance Group
o This group will allow a student volunteer to assist an SSU instructor in managing a class. Upon permission and direction of an instructor, an assistant will be involved in classroom management tasks such as taking attendance, organizing study groups, etc. Upon successfully completing the quarter, the classroom assistant will receive a “Certificate of Recognition”. Hours volunteering will depend on the availability of the volunteer.
• Ambassador Group
o This group will allow a student volunteer to assist SSU in introducing new students into the community and to assist in representing SSU in special events and social-media campaigns. Upon successfully completing the quarter, the ambassador will receive a “Certificate of Recognition”. Hours volunteering will depend on the availability of the volunteer.
