SSU’s First Annual Research Symposium

Southern States University is organizing its First Annual Research Symposium on Friday, July 28th, 2017 from 4 pm to 7 pm. The Symposium will be held at the Fashion Valley Campus.
All students, alumni, and faculty of SSU are encouraged to submit a proposal to present preliminary or completed results from research or other relevant work, for example course research papers, presentations, or Capstone projects.
Employers highly value the ability to communicate ideas clearly in presentations. This event will give you the chance to gain experience sharing your research with people outside your classes and get feedback. Participating in this symposium is also a valuable opportunity to network.
Student Awards including certificates will be given to recognize three papers for outstanding achievement in presenting original scholarship. Papers will be evaluated by a committee of three SSU faculty members. The evaluation will be on content, context, writing, and supporting materials.

The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, July 7th, 2017, by 6 pm Pacific Time. Proposals will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Early submissions are highly encouraged. You can submit your proposals to:
