SSU Opens a Dialogue on Diversity

Dear SSU Community:

The University’s commitment to diversity, seeking and supporting a multicultural staff, faculty, and student body, is one of the institution’s greatest assets. Such a diverse community has allowed the university to infuse its academic programs and extracurricular activities with a wealth of diverse expressions and ideas.

In accordance with its Diversity Policy, the University has outlined a stronger strategic initiative for 2021-2025, engaging the whole SSU community in its commitment for diversity, equity, and inclusion. To support this initiative, the newly appointed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DEI) has created a path for open and honest communication about DEI topics for our SSU community. We invite all SSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni to communicate their ideas and concerns with SSU’s DEI Committee by sending an email to:  diversity@ssu.edu
