Accreditation Update from SSU Chancellor

Dear SSU Community,
I am delighted to share a significant milestone in Southern States University’s ongoing pursuit of
institutional excellence. As previously communicated, SSU is actively working toward accreditation
through the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a respected accrediting body recognized for its
rigorous standards and commitment to academic quality.

We are proud to announce that SSU has officially been invited to participate in a site visit as part of the
Candidacy Accreditation review process. This visit represents a crucial next step in our journey toward
full accreditation.

The upcoming site visit will encompass all SSU campuses and will involve a comprehensive evaluation
of our academic programs, administrative operations, institutional policies, data, and overall
effectiveness. The official date of the visit will be announced soon.

This opportunity reflects the hard work and commitment of our entire university community. We are
enthusiastic about continuing this journey and are confident in achieving a positive outcome that will
strengthen our academic standing and open new doors for our students and faculty.
